Training for Youth Leaders
This is a flexible modular training scheme for people over 18 who are working with or would like to work with young people.
The course is made up of 5 modules which each last 6 hours:
- ‘The Bare Essentials’
- ‘What Makes Young People Tick?’
- ‘Communication in the 21st Century’
- ‘The Meaning of Life and Everything’
- Managing Youth Work’
The delivery can be flexible: as a series over weeks, as 5 x 1 day courses or any combination to suit the individual group.

The scheme works on three levels…
Course attendance leading to a Certificate - An accredited Portfolio of Evidence leading to a Bishop’s Certificate.
- Essays and assignments as credit towards a BA degree* in Youth Work
