The Diocese has a link agreement with the Diocese of the Highveld in South Africa and has links to the Diocese of Niassa in Mozambique through our friendship with Bishop Mark van Koevering and his wife Helen.
The Mothers Union works worldwide.
We also support the work of mission agencies such as USPG and CMS
Bishop’s Lent Appeal for Children's feeding station in the Highveld
I have been greatly surprised by the response to the Lent Appeal - with people embracing the discipline of fasting and giving the money they have saved to feed the hungry. Thank you very much indeed.
So far we have received forty four cheques totalling £12,573. I am hopeful that there are more to come. If churches have not yet sent in their gifts, I would urge them to do so as soon as possible - made payable to 'Bishop's Mission & General Fund' and sent to me at Bishopstow'.
