Youngsters from Trellech learn the art of campanology
Three of Trellech’s young communicants were part of the first group of youngsters to attend the new ringing centre at Usk when, during the February half term, they began their course on bell ringing under the supervision of Pip Penney and her team. Pip leads the Diocesan “Kids Ring Out” band.
On their first trip out with other young ringers they all walked a river bank to ring together in some new towers before an Easter egg hunt and tea out in Monmouth.
Flo, Katherine, and Jordan are now joining the Trellech ringers on a Monday evening.
Congratulations to them for sticking at it all through half term and mastering the art of campanology, and many thanks to Pip and her team for helping them to do so.
