House for Duty priest for Mynyddislwyn

The Rectorial Benefice (Team Ministry) of Mynyddislwyn
(in the beautiful Sirhowy Valley with easy access to Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons)

We are looking for a priest to minister with us to the communities around our five churches. He/she will be required to work two days plus the Sunday.

The person we are looking for will:-

  • have a passion for the Gospel.
  • encourage families to fully participate in the life of the church.
  • have zeal for mission and outreach.
  • be a good communicator.
  • expound scripture and help others to relate it to daily life.
  • encourage others to use their gifts and talents.
  • be outgoing, sensitive to the needs of others and ready to offer spiritual support in all situations.
  • play a full part in the ministry team.

We aim to be a welcoming and supportive church community for people of all ages.

The post will suit an active retired priest wishing to continue a worthwhile ministry.

There is a three-bedroom Vicarage with a study and a garage. Full working expenses will be met.
