General information

At present St Mary's holds two or three services on a Sunday and

two regular weekday services. - click on Parish in the far left column for times.
Monthly services are also held at the Church Close housing

complex and at the New Inn Care Home for the older residents

living in these two locations who find it difficult to attend the

Church or Church Hall.

Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals are held at St Mary's - see the

hire section for details.

There is a vibrant social life to St Mary's with several groups meeting in the Church Hall - see the section on Groups for more information about the Men's Society, St Mary's Guild.

There are other events such as 'Church Crawls' where an evening

is spent visiting another church in the diocese followed by a

meal and drinks at a local pub. These usually take place in the

summer months so look out for information or contact Mr Walford Hutchings on 01495 764531

There are other affiliated groups of St Mary's such as the

Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. See the section on

young people for details.

Annual events include the Summer Fete and Christmas Bazaar but

there are other occasions when there is a social event with food

and entertainment so everyone can come together in Christian

fellowship. Sometimes these are purely social and sometimes they

have a fundraising purpose - to either gather in money for

mission for those in need across the UK and the World or, to

raise money for maintenance and repairs within the Church or

Church Hall. All such events are advertised with the reason for

fundraising. Look out for information in the events section
